The Pokémons (Pocket monsters) is a Japanese media franchise known worldwide that is especially very popular among children. It all started as a video game developed for Nintendo’s GameBoy, and given the success that followed the release of these RPG games, the Pokémons were quickly adapted as an anime series and a merchandising empire was built around them, especially after they started releasing the same trading cards featured in the games and on TV. In The Pokémons you follow the adventures of Ash Ketchum and his friends Misty and Brock. All three are Pokémon trainers – who wish to become masters - and all have a favorite ‘Pokémon-Pet’. As far as Ash is concerned, it’s the very famous Pikachu who also turns out to be the central character of the series, he’s an electric-type Pokémon who stores electricity in his cheeks and releases it during attack. All Pokémons have a goal which is to evolve and all can do so if not for the legendary and rare ones. Pikachus – since Ash’s yellow friend is not unique is an evolved form or a Pichu but still will goal as to evolving into a Raichu.
